What You Need

In order to create a bootable USB drive, you will need the following:
- A blank USB flash drive with at least 4GB of storage space
- A copy of the Windows 11 ISO file
- A Mac running macOS Ventura 13 or
- Administrator access to your Mac

How To Create a Windows 11 Bootable USB On macOS Ventura Using Terminal

Follow these steps to create a bootable USB drive:
1) Insert your USB flash drive into your computer’s USB port.
2) Open the “Terminal” application on your Mac. You can find this in the “Utilities” folder inside the “Applications” folder.
3) In the Terminal window, type in the following command and press Enter:

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Catalina\.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia — volume /Volumes/MyVolume — nointeraction — downloadassets — applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Catalina\.app

Replace “MyVolume” with the name of your USB flash drive volume. For example, if your volume is named “Untitled,” you would type in “/Volumes/Untitled.” Be sure to include the quotation marks around the volume name if it contains any spaces.
4) You will be prompted to enter your password. Type in your password and press Enter.
5) You will be asked if you want to erase the volume. Type “Y” for Yes and press Enter.
6) The Terminal window will display a series of messages as the bootable USB drive is being created. When it is finished, you will see the message “Done.”
7) Close the Terminal window.

Warnings
